HPS Raw Food Update
We are getting closer and closer to our food hitting the shelves. With this in mind, we wanted to take a chance to reframe what this new project looks like. We also are taking this time to gather more feedback as to the type of product you’d like to see. A questionnaire to give your input can be found here.
HPs Raw Food
Our raw food will be the first of it’s kind, locally made pet grind right here in Humboldt County. We will be continuing to expand our offerings as far as recipe variety, but we will start with a Beef & Chicken recipe as well as a Chicken recipe. The biggest question surrounds the sourcing of our ingredients. They will always be human grade ingredients, but whether we use conventional or higher quality ingredients is yet to be determined. Our goal with this project is to make raw feeding approachable, affordable for everyone. These grinds will consist of meat, bones, and organs. This means our grinds will be purposefully incomplete. That gives you more flexibility in how you use it. Easily use it as a topper to accompany a whole meal up to 20% of their diet or use our recipe builder to formulate a balanced food entirely at home. This gives you the ultimate control of what goes into it.
Recipe Maker
The second part of this project is our recipe maker. With the help of our in-house nutritionist and manager extraordinaire, Stella, we will help you make whole and balanced food at home. This process can be done with our grinds or with ingredients you source and prepare yourself. The biggest pitfall with making food at home is often the nutritional holes often overlooked. The goal of this is to give you as much control over the quality of ingredients used while helping you ensure that the food you are making is whole and balanced.
This project is the culmination of everything that is Humboldt Pet Supply. Focusing on high quality, sustainable, and healthy products. Focusing on the community that we built together, the community that we love. We are excited to continue building this project together. Thank you for your support. If you haven’t already, take a look at the questionnaire to give us your input on this growing project.
